A runaway dog that turned up on the doorstep of Hawkinge Lib Dem Councillors Peter and Christena Smith has been returned to its owners.
Councillors throughout the east of England have rejected a request from Labour's John Prescott to find room for another 18,000 homes in the region over and above existing housing targets.
In launching the Inquiry, which is being delivered to 40,000 homes in Woking, Dr Anne Lee said: "people have contacted me with a range of concerns about health-care provision across the Borough. Most people are complimentary about the care they have received from doctors and nurses. Unfortunately they are still reporting worries about waiting times for specialist appointments, the availability of specialist equipment at St Peters and concerns about the shortage of GPs and national health dentists.
Local Lib Dems are continuing to fight the closure of Post Offices in Chelmsford. In the last two years SEVEN have closed locally (around 2000 nationally, and more are under threat). Local campaigners Stephen Robinson and Mike Mackrory say 'Our Post Offices provide an essential service to local people. There are still others under threat; you can help protect the remaining ones by signing our petition.'
