Audit Commission targets Recycling and Street Cleaning

The Audit Commission's findings in Epsom & Ewell Borough Council for the year 2005/6 have now been published. The Commission was clearly unhappy with performance on recycling and street cleansing. Liberal Democrats express concern over failure to meet costs

Today Liberal Democrats on Suffolk County Council responded to the publication of the first stage of the Conservative Administrations' plans for privatising the County Council and expressed concern over their failure to meet all the costs they need despite cutting jobs.

Local MP Tim Farron is this morning cycling to work as part of Sustrans' Change Your World campaign. Tim has also supported the campaign, which aims to highlight the impact on our environment made by short car journeys, by proposing an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons.
