Office of Deputy Prime Minister Halts Queens Park Development Improvements
Liberal Democrat Councillors have attacked recommendations by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) that would see new facilities such as a medical centre, community centre and play areas scrapped at a new development planned for Queens Park.

Dartmoor National Park Authority again refuse local builder permission to live in his own house.
A meeting of the Dartmoor National Parks Planning Committee last Friday again turned down by one vote an application by local builder, Bob Wyatt, to change the use of the barn in which he now lives from holiday to residential use.

The Liberal Democrat stand at Kingsbridge Show last Saturday attracted a great deal of interest with people queuing up to sign their petition calling for the replacement of Council tax with a much fairer, local income tax system based on the ability to pay.

Anger and disappointment at Kent County Council's Reaction to Romney Marsh Unadopted Roads Petition
Shepway Lib Dem campaigner Peter Carroll has reacted with disappointment and anger at the reaction of Kent County Council Highways Board to the huge petition presented to it by residents of Greatstone, Littlestone and St Mary's Bay - all areas plagued by the problems of unadopted roads. The petition was signed by 272 residents and was presented in March 2003.
