Chelmsford Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate Stephen Robinson, has launched his "It's MY data - not the government's" campaign. [See www.ourcampaign.org.uk/itsMYdata ] The Lib Dems are opposing plans for the government to collect all our text messages, emails, Facebook and My Space messages.

Despite opposition from the Putnoe FOCUS Team and local residents the Tory councillor responsible for highways has pushed through a weight limit for rural N E Bedfordshire. This will mean more lorries having to use Wentworth Drive.

Lib Dem Leader visits South Lakes Hospital to back Tim Farron's campaign for a Cancer Unit

Local MP Tim Farron was joined by Liberal Democrat party leader Nick Clegg on Friday 27 March to visit Westmorland General Hospital and formally back his campaign to bring a cancer unit to the South Lakes. Tim is stepping up the campaign to bring chemotherapy and radiotherapy services to the Westmorland General Hospital after his proposals were met positively by local health bosses. Nick Clegg and Tim met Tony Halsall at the Hospital to discuss the issue.
