Liberal Democrats launch green jobs manifesto pledge
Nick Clegg launched this latest plank of the Liberal Democrats' economic stimulus and job creation package visiting a former shipyard in Newcastle. The proposals would enable firms to manufacture off-shore wind turbines in the UK, instead of seeing them built abroad due to out-of-date facilities.

Sandgate Parish Council starts new tourism venture with support from Discover Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh
At the February full parish council meeting in Sandgate, Lib Dem Cllr Season Prater put forward a motion in a bid to re-invigorate the tourism in Sandgate. The motion was agreed by all present, starting a new vital link between the parish council and Discover Folkestone, Hythe and Romney Marsh (DFH&RM).
