Congleton Lib Dem's have responded to calls by residents in Lower Heath about the appalling state of grass verges on the cattle market development. Rubble, concrete and litter are strewn across the verges and it is getting worse as the building work continues. It is unsightly not just for the new residents but also those living in the area. It is also the first sight anyone sees arriving in Congleton from Macclesfield or Manchester.

Local Committees encouraged to implement more 20 mph zones

The introduction of more 20 mph zones in appropriate locations throughout Surrey moved a step closer today with the passing of a Liberal Democrat motion proposed by Cllr David Goodwin (Guildford South West) and seconded by Cllr John Doran (Horsell). This highlighted research showing that the chances of being killed as a pedestrian when hit by a vehicle double between 30 mph and 35 mph.
