It's looking GOOD in Heywood North!

It's been a bit of culture shock for me the past few weeks - but the whirlwind of meetings, meetings, meetings has been a huge culture shock. I've had many messages of support since joining Peter on the Council. Firstly a few thank you's - first my fiance Austin who delivered countless leaflets in Heywood on my behalf. To David and James in the office, they were brilliant. Really professional and they put up with me and I can't continue without mentioning Councillor Peter Rush - my new colleague. What a character! Finally, to all the voters in Heywood - it will be a pleasure to represent you.

The campaign was a busy one and close - I blame the fact that Jean Hornby was Mayor and her increased profile. She is not a very good campaigner or Councillor BUT was an excellent Mayor.

I was shocked by Labour's negative attempts in the election. As a relative newcomer to politics I thought the Labour campaign was atrocious. I had to apologise to parents of children at Balderstone Technology College for Labour's Lies.
