The work to complete the new Cochrane Park Sainsburys store is nearing its conclusion and we very much hope for a speedy end to the inconvenience experienced by people in the Etherstone Avenue area as a result of construction traffic, parking problems and disturbance. GREG took up concerns with the directors of the development and construction companies, resulting in greater consideration.

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has today written to the BBC Trust Chairman, Lord Patten, to invite him to Cumbria to meet staff at Radio Cumbria affected by the proposed 20% cuts and to meet the station's listeners and answer their questions.

MP puts down parliamentary motion calling for government backing for radiotherapy campaign
