Lib Dem councillors called this week for assurances that members of the public will not have their rights curtailed as a result of the reduction in the scope of the applications that are heard by the Planning Committee.
A decision to increase bus fares for pensioners has been challenged by the borough council Scrutiny committee, following a proposal by Lib Dem leader Michael Headley, despite efforts by Labour members to delay the decision.
Commenting on the decision by the UKIP to select their leader Roger Knapman to contest the Totnes Constituency at the next General Election, Totnes Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Mike Treleaven, said:

As the town has the oldest Mosque in the country what happens in Woking matters. There are many good examples of work going on in Woking which encourage all sections of the community to work together with support from groups such as the One World Week to be held later this month".
