Wiltshire Councillor Howard Marshall has asked the council's Environment Scrutiny Committee to investigate the financial fall-out from the Conservative cabinet's decision to increase parking charges.
The by-election for the Essex County Council seat of Stock (*) is being fought for the Liberal Democrats by the chairman of their local constituency party, Marian Elsden. The by-election (on 8th September) was caused by the imprisonment of the former councillor, Lord Hanningfield.
