There has been a lot of nonsense spouted by some correspondents about the viability of offshore windfarms and their value in the campaign to reduce carbon emissions. Some have argued that they do not produce sufficient power, and others that the cost of building them is greater than the money generated by them.
After seeing the Liberal Democrat vote share increase nationally and the party help to form the new British Government, the Chinese Liberal Democrats are also moving forward.
At last night's Council Meeting Liberal Democrats were chosen for the following positions:
Cllr. Karimeh Foster, Liberal Democrat Councillor for the Whitehall Ward in Darwen was chosen at last night's Council Meeting to be the new Deputy Mayor for 20010/11. She will deputise for the new Mayor, Councillor Sheila Williams.

In August last year Kent County Councillor Tim Prater started a bid under KCC's Members Highway Fund to look into a scheme to create a one-way scheme in Morehall Avenue and Chart Road.
