PARENTS AND COUNCIL WORKING TOGETHER TO FIND SOLUTIONS FOR FOXGLOVES

On Friday 8th October a meeting was held between the parents of children who use the Foxgloves respite facilities, Cllr David Sawyer, Portfolio Holder for Children's Services and Council Officers. The meeting followed the start of a consultation process to consider how respite services could be provided differently in the future for children with complex and challenging needs. Each family has been offered the opportunity to meet with Council Officers to discuss their individual family needs.

Deal Civic Service

I am delighted to see that my 100th event is one that has dignity and style. The Mayor of Deal welcomed us into his 'home church' and we robed in the adjoining hall. The response to the invitations was high, and we all squashed into a small room to prepare ourselves and be dressed by Town Sergeants.

South Central Lib Dem Conference to debate LVT & Housing

The Policy & Conference Committees of South Central Region Lib Dems have agreed to debate a motion calling for LVT at their conference in Oxford on 30 October. The motion was drafted by ALTER committee members Margaret Godden (former Deputy Leader of Oxfordshire County Council) and Dr Tony Vickers, who is currently Lib Dem Housing Spokesman on West Berkshire Council.
