Head of British Army says UK presence worsens security situation in Iraq
Chief of the General Staff Sir Richard Dannatt has sparked controversy in a Daily Mail interview. He said the presence of UK forces in Iraq "exacerbates the security problems" and they should "get out some time soon."

Massive response to Lib Dem crime survey
In September Park Ward Ward Liberal Democrats carried out a crime survey across the ward. Springvale Ward Lib Dems carries out the same survey in their area in October. In both wards there was a massive response from residents. Nearly half of those who responded said they have either been the victim of or witnessed a crime in the last year. A third of the victims did not report incidents to the Police. We were pleased to find that most of those who did report the incident were satisfied with the speed and quality of the Police's response.
