Chris Bramall backs Mencap campaign - political rights for people with learning disabilities
Chris Bramall, Liberal Democrat candidate for Stourbridge, has signed up to the Get My Vote campaign launched by learning disability charity Mencap. The idea is to enable more people with learning disabilities to take part in the general election and local elections. Mencap has called for all political parties to ensure their election manifestos are accessible to everyone. In a recent survey, Mencap found that more than 90 percent of the population don't understand complicated phrases used in political literature.
