Every few months we seem to have spells of torrential rain that test the drains, gullies, sewers and watercourses. Northumbrian Water has spent £2.5 million on improvements to the drainage in the Red House Farm area.
Work has started to build the new Knoplaw Primary School on Chapel House.
Newcastle has won a regional award for its floral displays.
:: WOOLSINGTON CHARTER PLAN
Stockton Liberal Democrats supported a move to sign Stockton Council up to the 10:10 campaign. This commits individuals and organisations to cut 10% from their energy use by the end of next year, 2010.
As no-one else has seconded the motion I will do so and thank the cabinet member for bringing it to council, thereby saving me the job of doing it.
