The Government bank bail out isn't working. Despite billions being pumped into the banking sector and the Government taking large stakes in Britain's major banks, viable businesses are continuing to go under as banks pull lending from them.
Cllr Fiona White, is very pleased that Safeguard Coaches are going to provide the town centre bus service which the council used to run for residents of Guildford. But, say Fiona, it is a shame that it will run for less hours in the day but I hope that eventually it can be extended so that it allows people to access the whole of Guildford in the afternoons as well.
In time for World Aids Day, MEPs are set to endorse a resolution on HIV/AIDS, calling on the EU Commission and Member States to formulate a comprehensive strategy for early diagnosis and care. The resolution also calls on Member States to outlaw discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS and allow their free movement.
