Commenting on announcements by US agri-chemical company Monsanto, that it will not try to market the world's first genetically modified wheat, Andrew George MP, Liberal Democrat Food and Rural Affairs Spokesperson, said:
Totnes Constituents have until June 2nd to request a postal vote in the European Parliament elections to be held on Thursday June 10th. The election will be for seven Members of the European Parliament to represent the South West Region. People can arrange to vote by post by completing an application form, available from their local Council offices. The deadline for new applications is 5pm on Wednesday 2nd June 2004.
